Up & Coming Abstract Artist​

 

Nafeesah Hodges, also known as Fee Splash, is an emerging abstract artist from Newark, New Jersey. She credits her influences by many great artists such as Helen Frankenthaler, Robert Motherwell, Luigi Pericle, Norman Lewis and Wassily Kandinksy, just to name a few. As a self-taught artist, she is still learning and enjoying progression in her craft. As an avid comic book collector, her earliest artistic experiences used Spiderman as her muse. She later began painting on the back of album covers and was encouraged to start using canvases instead. She has been painting for several years but began painting more seriously during the COVID pandemic.

 

As a 911 dispatcher for the Newark Fire Department, she enjoys painting, as a means of relaxation and to help keep her calm since the act of painting helps release emotions and pain. She is aiming to show her art to the world and is supported by an awesome group of artists.
